Dr. Meguid is a Professor of Human Genetics, National Research Centre, Egypt. She is a fellow at the Genetics Institute, California, and Uppsala University, Sweden. She has authored and co-authored 120 publications. She has used her expertise to identify and describe several novel genetic syndromes. She added new syndromes to the medical literature. She participated in determining the spectrum of gene mutations causing common genetic disorders in Egypt. She has contributed to find important gene variants developing biomarker detection tests.
